Announcing Our New Website!

It seems that when Aaron and I stay put for a while, we can’t help but come up with new ideas for everything. New lifestyles, new businesses…new blogs.

Introducing:

Not That Damn Recipe | notthatdamnrecipe.comAs you might be able to tell from the name, the tone is a bit different. It’s a little rebellious, a little more gritty, and all about the food! If you’re looking for recipes that are easy to make, don’t require special ingredients, won’t blow your food budget, and don’t take a ton of time—these are for you! Not That Damn Recipe is less about styled photos from 20 different angles and more about the most direct way of helping you get the food from the blog to your plate.

We’re kicking things off with Chocolate Cake and 2-Ingredient Chocolate Ganache Frosting! (always chocolate cake)

Check it out, click around the site, share it with a friend, let us know what recipes you want us to tackle, and be the first person to leave a comment! ←That would really make our day.

Thank you so much for reading!

This is like a treasure hunt of gems. I clicked on every page (don’t judge me!) and each one made me laugh out loud. Seriously, my boyfriend is like what are you doing?! Your Press page! HAHAHA And I saw that gif when I clicked on the link at the bottom of your work with us page for people who don’t want to pay… AWESOME. You guys rock!

I’m so glad you “got” the food blog awards! I have a hunch a lot of people scroll right by them, but the idea made us laugh so hard we had to do it!

  6. You guys are such a hoot! I adore you. This new blog is so fun!! <3

Isn’t it amazing what your brain can do when it’s not all burned out and stressed out from work?!? Can’t wait to check it out!

    1. Amanda says

YES! I’d say about 2-3 months into our trip, Aaron and I both started having a flood of new ideas that never would have occurred to us had we not given ourselves the mental space and change of scenery. If only employers gave everyone that time off…I really do think productivity during the rest of the year would justify it.

Completely agree with you! After I recovered from being a complete zombie during the first two months of maternity leave, my brain was so ready to learn and work again! Even though I would have loved to stay at home, I was fresh and passionate about the work that I do. Sabbaticals for everyone!!
